It has been a minute since we did a festival how-to information post ya’ll this is so exciting. Seismic Dance Event announced its amazing lineup for the 3-day event happening in Austin, Texas on May 21-23, 2021. Yes, you read that right 2021.
Keeping our fingers crossed we’ll see this happen in May. I am merely promoting this event because I trust that the team at Seismic can ensure a safe and fun event as we are still navigating a pandemic. If you are interested in attending, I want to do my part and share with you everything you need to know.
TICKETS
Tickets are already on sale and at this point are 50% SOLD OUT. There will be no tickets added once this happens. This is a LIMITED CAPACITY event so it’s best to act now if you’d like to attend. Should the event get moved to fall your tickets will be secure or you can save them for an event in 2022. You can also use “VIBEWITHADE” to save $15 off your tickets.
There are single-day tickets available (day lineups won’t be released just yet) and payment plans available as well. You can choose from GA and VIP. With VIP, you’ll get viewing & lounge areas at both main stages and VIP private bars in both viewing areas.
COVID Safety Precautions
From the Seismic team here is a statement on how they are ensuring safety for attendees:
Seismic has always been an intimate boutique festival which is so crucial for that really special niche vibe, but it also plays in our favor in terms of the feasibility of our event taking place in May. We’ll be capping at a little less than normal at 2,500 attendees and that’s over multiple areas across a 7+ acre property.
Some of our arrangements include screening upon check-in, masks on at all times, and enacting a pod-style format where attendees file into an available pod at each stage, all of which will have personnel dedicated to monitoring & enforcing the guidelines. We’ve seen how successfully & safely pod-style events can be structured, many of which have welcomed even more attendees than our cap.
With this pod layout, there will be sections set up at all areas and you just go into an available section/table when you go to a particular stage. This is kind of like how Real Music Events has been doing their events at Cedar St. Courtyard, but on a grander scale. Meaning it will be first come first serve section concept, but you can move and leave and go to another area.
This can be subject to change as rules and regulations may change as the pandemic progresses.
VENUE
Real Music Events and Seismic has been hinting at a new venue which has been so exciting to hear. From their release, it is on a 7+ acre property and is near the Austin airport. This event is outdoors and I’m definitely interested to see more about the venue. They should be making an announcement the week of the 19th with more details.
Where to Stay
This is not a camping event so you’ll have to find a hotel or Airbnb. Since they mentioned it is near the airport you can definitely find some accommodations near there. You can also look to staying close to downtown or South Austin as the drive wouldn’t be too bad.
How to Get There
Given the venue, you can either drive (I’m sure they’ll have parking accommodations available) or you can take a ride share. There will be costs associated with either whether you have to pay for parking or a ride share.
LINEUP
This lineup excites me in so many ways. Even more so, in this Instagram post, Seismic said sets are going to be two hours for these artists since it’s a 3-day event which is incredible!!
I want to name every artist as someone I’m excited to see, but I’m going to limit it to artists I have not seen which includes: Ben Bohmer, Enrico Snagiuliano, John Summit, Kyle Watson, Mathame, Nicole Moudaber, Phantoms, Reinier Zonneveld, SIDEPIECE, and The Martinez Brothers. Basically, half the linup lol.
From ones I have seen though, definitely exciting to see Anabel Englund, Charlotte de Witte, Claude VonStroke, Sacha Robottoi, Steve Darko, Tchami, Walker & Royce and Westend.
But honestly, you can’t go wrong with anyone on this lineup.
WHAT TO EXPECT
I attended in 2018 & 2019 and the vibes are amazing. The Austin dance scene is welcoming and a good a** time. You can watch these vlogs from both years to get an idea. You can also check out my review. I love this festival and have loved watching it grow.
WHAT TO WEAR
Honestly anything goes! It’ll be in May so it will be a lot warmer in Austin, TX. Don’t be afraid to express yourself as it’s very welcomed and celebrated here in Austin.
I hope this helps if you are thinking of attending Seismic and hope you guys can make it out to Seismic Dance Event! Use VIBEWITHADE to save $15 on tickets. See you on the dance floor!
