Today is an exciting day as you guys may have noticed on the website and on my social channels I have a brand NEW logo. I thought for 2020 it was time to revamp the logo. When I started Vibe With Ade back in 2017, I quickly spun up a logo in Canva. I didn’t really have a direction when I created the logo, I just made something that could suffice to get my brand out there. I was considering it back and forth if I needed a new one in Hallie reached out to me. I took it as a sign from the universe that it was time for a new logo and for us two powerhouses to connect and create.
About SeriouslyHallie
Hallie is a graphic designer based out of Miami, Florida. She mainly specializes in logo design but her design expertise can expand depending on the needs of the person or business. I first heard about Hallie when she was collaborating with Rave With Mi Gente who I am an ambassador for. She has curated one of a kind prints for Rave With Mi Gente including the Femmedelic print and Rave with Mi Gente Or Die print which are iconic.

The Process
We created a contract for this collaboration where I would pay a discounted rate for a new logo and business card design for me writing about my experience and creating a video as well. Because I believed I could create a YouTube video on my channel for it she threw in some social banners as well for Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. Once we signed the contract it was time to get to work. Here is the process I went through:
- Signed contract and paid the first deposit
- Filled out a discovery questionnaire and sent Hallie a Pinterest board to serve as inspiration
- 14 day period for Hallie to create the first set of logos as well as send me font ideas
- Delivery of first initial logo ideas (most clients pay their second payment at this stage)
- Edits to those ideas
- Finalization of the logo as well as different colored versions of the logo
- The second payment in order to receive logo files (most clients pay FINAL payment in order to receive logo files)
- Sent information and ideas for business cards
- Creation of business cards and social banners
- Final approval and payment in order to receive files
The Logo
When I was thinking about what I wanted the logo to look like, I was picturing something sleek while still playing true to what the logo had before. I wanted to keep the play button intact somehow since that was a big part of my logo. I asked Hallie to show me options of the logo with and without the play button as well as with the original colors and without to see what was worth letting go. Overall, I am so happy with the logo. It feels like the old one but reinvented and elevated. It still has its old qualities but feels more professional.
p.s. how do we feel about Vibe With Ade stickers? I got some printed off to give to friends and families but if you’re interested in some I could be open to getting more for my vibe tribe!
The Business Cards
I use business cards when I’m at festivals or networking events. Same thing I created my old business cards off of Canva and got them printed at Vistaprint. I wanted the design to be simple and had all the info on there for my website, social channels and YouTube channel. My first business card didn’t even have my YouTube channel because I wasn’t even publishing videos yet so it was definitely time for an upgrade. I had the tagline “Let’s Vibe” on the old cards so I was glad I could have that in the new one to still keep it playful and fun.
Working with SeriouslyHallie
Working with Hallie was honestly a dream. She was so awesome to work with. She is so bright and creative. Hallie was also very communicative with me and any questions or ideas I had she was very responsive. We coordinated mainly over text, but first interacted via email. She was always on it in getting back to me I never once felt like I was in the dark about where the project was at which I appreciated. I highly recommend if you are needing logo or design work to reach out to her.
