The end of 2019 is approaching FAST. I love the end of year festivals because it is a perfect way to end the year on a high note. You get to vibe out to your favorite artists and celebrate the year you’ve had. I am so excited I will be attending Lights All Night for the first time this year. I have gotten asked a ton about how to prepare for this festival so I took to social media and got all the tea on how to prepare for this festival and what to plan for.
Lights All Night is from Friday, December 27th through Saturday, December 28th. Fun fact it is actually Texas’ longest-running festival! It is held in Dallas in the Dallas Market Hall. This event is 18+ and must be 21+ to drink.
The Lineup
This lineup is so amazing!! I am so excited. It really has a little bit of everything for everyone. My top must-sees are Virtual Self, 3LAU, AC Slater, Herobust, Manilla Killa, and Blossom. So so excited for this lineup!
Tickets
There are a couple of options for tickets:
- GA – General admission into the festival
- GA Express – General admission with an express lane for entry
- VIP – Includes VIP viewing areas, exclusive bar, private bathrooms, private outdoor area
- VIP Platinum – Skybox Lounge Access, All-Inclusive drinks, and access to all VIP amenities
You can purchase tickets here (use VIBEWITHADE for $5 off!): https://www.eventbrite.com/e/lights-all-night-2019-tickets-68455641667
The Venue
The venue is inside and tends to get a little chilly so prepare to dress warm. There will be multiple stages and art installations throughout the venue. I’m excited to explore the space and see how they transform the venue. For GA, the bathrooms are outside in portapotties and the inside bathrooms are for VIP.
Best Places to Stay
There are a couple of options across the street from the venue that could be a viable option. Some recommendations included the Hilton Antiole as well as other hotels downtown.
Airbnbs could also be an option if you have a bigger group or prefer Airbnb over a hotel.
The sooner you book the better since people are beginning to make their plans for NYE they’re going to start looking for hotels and Airbnbs. It may look pricey to stay at a hotel nearby, but it could save you the cost and time of rideshares/driving. I’d prefer being close so I don’t have to wait a long time to request a ride or wait in a parking lot, but that’s just me! To each their own, choose an option that’ll work best for you and your squad.
How to Get There and Back
If you have someone willing to be sober, you can pay for parking (typically $20 cash only). Otherwise, you’ll have the option of rideshares and taxis. Getting rideshares to the festival can be easy; however when the festival ends can be a nightmare since everyone is trying to order a ride. There are taxis available that can take cash or card. Could be a great option so you’re not waiting forever to get a rideshare. If you are staying in one of the nearby hotels or have friends staying in those hotels, be warned that the hotel staff will check room keys so you won’t be able to hang out in a room that isn’t yours or invite friends to hang out in a room that isn’t theirs.
What to Wear
A lot of tips from the vibe tribe recommended wearing something warm. Most ravewear and festival brands haven’t come out with NYE collections yet, but keep an eye on some of my favorite brands like Dollskill, Rave With Mi Gente, Freedom Rave Wear, Rolita Couture and Rave After Rave. Here are some inspiration pics:

“What’s the vibe like?”
I have heard mixed things about the crowd for this festival. Some good and some bad. I have lived in Texas for two years now and I have loved raving in Texas because of the people. The people in this scene are so friendly and fun to vibe with. I believe the community will show you a good time. If the crowd happens to be not so great, keep a positive attitude and surround yourself with a great squad to keep the good vibes going all weekend long.
I hope this was helpful and hope to see you there! Let me know if you’re going I’d love to meet up with my Vibe Tribe 🙂
