The end of 2019 is quickly approaching. I have always loved the end of the year celebrations. Looking back on what a year you had and getting to start fresh is what excites me most. Getting to do it while seeing my favorite artists and surrounded by my best friends is even better.
It’s the time of year where NYE festivals are beginning to drop their lineups and their information for their celebration. With so many options to choose from it can be very overwhelming. I am going to give you my best tips on how to pick which festival.

How to Choose Which Festival is Right For You
Lineup
Lineup plays a huge role in this. Is the lineup filled with your favorite artists or artists you’ve never seen before? I like having a balance between artists I’ve seen and haven’t seen before, but that’s just me. I also like having multiple sub-genres of EDM available to me so I can go shuffle to a house set or get down to some wavy bass. Sometimes the lineup doesn’t matter for you and is all about the experience which is okay too.
Experience
What kind of experience are you looking for? Are you a huge bass head and want to be surrounded by fellow bass heads for NYE? Do you want to rave in the snow at Snowglobe? Choose an experience that excites you.
Location
I went to Decadence Arizona the past four years because it was convenient. I lived in Arizona for three of those four years, but was in town for Christmas last year so I attended again. It was convenient and cheaper for me to attend. This year I will be attending Lights All Night in Dallas, Texas which is convenient for us to drive up to from Austin, Texas. If you’re looking for something convenient then hopefully there’s an event near you. You could also use this as an opportunity to go to a brand new place to try out a new festival.
Budget
Do you want to ball out on your final event of the year or be budget-conscious so that you can start saving for 2020 events? That is entirely up to you. I’m being budget conscious so I can start saving for 2020 events and trips. Find what is going to fit in your budget. Don’t forget to account for the ticket, where you’re staying, how you’re getting there (car, plane, etc.), transportation to and from the festival and outfits.
All in all, I think you will have an amazing New Years experience no matter what you decide. Don’t stress too much about it and let it all out on the dancefloor. You deserve it after the year you’ve had. Much love!
