The forest is a magical place and I wanted to share with ya’ll what you can do to have the best experience possible. Here is my Electric Forest bucket list.
1. Walk the Forest During the Day & at Night Time
EXPLORE this forest as much as possible. You never know what you’ll find. Do it all again at night time. The forest comes alive at night with the lights and art installations it’s truly incredible.
2. See an Artist You’ve Never Heard Of
I always do this with any festival, but pick a name on that lineup and go check them out. They just might become your next favorite artist.
3. Watch Someone Get Married at the Chapel
The chapel has real weddings (and fake ones!). Be apart of the fun and watch someone get married.
4. See at Least One Set at Each of the Stages
There are 9 stages at Electric Forest. Try to catch a set at each one to get a vibe each one.
5. Interact with the Characters of the Forest
There are so many different characters roaming around the forest that make the whole atmosphere playful and fun. Interact with them for a good laugh and some fun.
6. Watch Someone Play Piano
Can’t tell you the exact spot, but you’ll know what I’m talking about when you find it.
7. Bring a Gift to the Giving Tree & Grab Something from The Giving Tree
You give and you receive. Bring a gift for the giving tree and take something in return.
8. Leave a Note or Gift in a Fairy House
I found a note and mini canvas last year in a fairy house that I still hold close to my heart.
9. Participate in the Scavenger Hunt
If you hang around the hangar and talk with the characters or workers, they’ll be able to give you clues to participate in a scavenger hunt. If you’re lucky, you can uncover some secret parts of the forest that many don’t know about.
10. Bring Something to Trade at the Trading Post
Bring an item to trade at the Trading Post. No plastic or “Made in China” stuff is accepted. I’ve heard some stories of people trading an item for some pretty cool stuff.
11. Do Yoga
There is yoga every morning at Tripolee. I didn’t do this last year because of how hot it was, but definitely could’ve used the stretch.
12. Attend a Session at the Brainery
The Brainery in the campgrounds has a ton of sessions all weekend I highly recommend attending. I attended a session on aromatherapy and learned so much. This is perfect if you get bored at your campsite and gates haven’t opened yet for the festival.
13. Attend an RV After Party
TBT to when I thought I got to see Daft Punk play an RV After Party on the last day of Forest. Turned out to be a tribute duo that just plays Daft Punk LOL. There have been some legendary b2bs with artists on the lineup to play. I can imagine with it being one weekend there will be some insane after parties.
14. Spend Time in The Hangar
The Hangar has so many little activities and gems hidden in it I wish I spent more time in this place.
15. Find Carl
If you know, you know.
