ELECTRIC FOREST SEASON IS UPON US!!!! Last week Electric Forest broke silence and revealed the upcoming plans for 2019. They announced that they are reducing it from two weekends to one weekend which sent everyone into a frenzy. They stated to help preserve the forest and to keep this festival going for many years to come is why they made this change. Electric Forest will be held June 27-30 in Rothbury, Michigan. I released a video on Monday talking about this experience overall.
Ticket On-Sale
Now if you are interested in going to Electric Forest, get your wallets ready because tickets go on-sale on December 7th, 2018 at 12 pm EST. If you are a loyalty member which if you have been to the forest before, you will receive a code for the loyalty sale. For 6 and 4 in the forest your tickets can be purchased on December 5th at 12 pm EST and will end Thursday December 6 at 11:59 AM Eastern time.. If you are a GA or Good Life Loyalty, you can purchase your tickets on December 6th at 12 pm EST and will end Friday December 7 at 11:59 AM Eastern time..
Tickets are starting at $325 before fees and then go up in price with extra amenities or if you choose Good Life (VIP). Tickets are expected to sell out with the growing popularity of Electric Forest and it being reduced to one weekend. Luckily, there are layway and payment plans available. You can secure your ticket for 1% down plus fees. This is a great option if you can’t afford the entire ticket, but want to secure your spot.
Ticket Options
There are many ticket options starting with General Admission then it goes up in price with extra amenities you can get. One great thing is you don’t have to purchase camping separately. It comes with your ticket, unless you are doing an RV then that is an add-on.
GA
The standard ticket gets you into the festival and into the camping grounds.
Good Life
Good Life Village Camping and Sherwood Court Tent Only Camping are the main VIP camping options. The Good Life also offers a variety of other lodging options throughout the expansive festival grounds. If you want The Forest to provide a tent, bungalow, or tiny home, there are several options in The Good Life Village.
Back 40
If you seek extra luxury, discover the Back 40 Enchanted Experience. This is the highest level of Good Life camping in Enchanted Experience with a whimsical wonderland experience, including brunches, happy hours, and more! Are you looking for a cabin or log home? A hotel suite, or unlimited access to the Waterpark or the Back 40 pool? Essentially figure out what works best for your budget and is ideal for you!
Group Camping
There isn’t any information out yet, but expect this add-on to be available early 2019. You can get a group together and secure your camping spot. There is an add-on price but very much worth it if you want your group to all be together.
Early Arrival
If you are doing GA, I HIGHLY recommend doing early arrival on Wednesday. It is one pass per car and is so convenient if you are traveling to Electric Forest. The actual festival itself starts on Thursday around 2 pm. So getting there Wednesday allow you to get situated before the festival starts. This pass starts at $45 and is an add-on to your ticket.
How To Get There
Once you secure your ticket, you can start looking at flights. Most people fly into Detroit, Grand Rapids, Chicago or Muskegon. There is also a shuttle that picks up from Detroit, Grand Rapids, Chicago and New York City. This is great for if you have to fly and can’t rent a car. There will be more info on shuttles soon, but for now you can start looking at flights.
Budget
If you want a general idea of what I spent for Electric Forest, I kept a note of it in hopes to help you!
GA Ticket | $365.45 |
Flights | $438.80 |
Rental Car/
Camping/ Food/ Early Arrival |
$374.00 |
Outfits | $85.00 |
TOTAL | $1,263.25 |
I could’ve definitely reduced costs for my flights by looking earlier. I think this year I will be doing the shuttle instead of renting a car and will be doing group camping so those are areas I could reduce for.
