In 2012 I saw girls wear cute flower crowns to Coachella and ever since then I needed to go! This also was my inspiration for BrittsBlossoms. That same year I headed to my first music festival Electric Zoo and made my first flower crown to wear (now known as Blossoms).
After attending 7 Electric Zoos, 5 Ultras, 3 Mysterylands, 2 EDC NYs, EDCLV, Tomorrow World, Elements Lakewood and many more it was time to finally go to my dream festival Coachella! I had heard mixed reviews about going weekend 1 vs. weekend 2, but knew weekend 1 was right for me. I purchased the VIP Travel Package from Coachella with us staying at the La Quinta Resort & Club. The La Quinta Resort is one of the most beautiful resorts I have ever stayed at, would 100% recommend! It’s also extremely close to the festival, less than a 10 min shuttle. The shuttles were amazing we didn’t have to wait all weekend for one, there was always a shuttle waiting for us to get on. Getting to the festival and through security was a breeze (the best experience I have ever had!).
THE FESTIVAL
Coachella is so beautiful! The art is so picture perfect, obviously super Instagramable. The grounds are huge and it is HOT during the day. VIP is pretty, there are a lot of fountains, and the lines for food and drinks aren’t as long. I really enjoyed the Antarctic it was not only nice and cool inside with comfy chairs, but the show and music were also great.
THE FOOD
The food at Coachella…. there is food everywhere! Coachella brings in so many different food vendors, my top picks were Spicy Pie, Guerrilla Tacos and Van Leeuwen Ice Cream. An issue we had was water, it seemed like a lot of the bars and food vendors were running out of water very early on. Also, where was the watermelons?! (not sure if they had them this year?) Alcohol is only allowed in the designated areas which is annoying, but I guess makes sense since it’s an all ages festival.
THE MUSIC
My top sets were (in no particular order)
- Chris Lake
- Rufus du Sol
- Gessafelstein
- Charlotte de Witte
Favorite Stage = The Yuma Tent it is AMAZING! You enter the Yuma Tent at 3pm and it feels like its 1am. The production is so good, its huge! They also had comfy benches in the back for when you want to chill. *The only downside/issue we had with the Yuma Tent was the mosh trying to get in before Chris Lake, otherwise we had no issues all weekend.*
Going weekend 1 I knew that there was going to be a ton of celebrities and influencers. I got to meet Matthew Noszka and his girlfriend Inanna Sarkis in VIP, Brody Jenner as we were entering the Yuma Tent, Jamie Kidd at Zedd and a few other smaller influencers, all were super nice. If you ever want to see a ton of influencers doing their thing, go to the Ferris Wheel during sunset. That was def a sight to see 😉 Also, the festival fashion at Coachella def lived up to its hype (just like what you see on Instagram) it’s the best compared to any festival I have ever gone to.
Coachella lived up to everything I wanted and more! It is definitely my favorite music festival. See you next year Coachella!
