Last weekend I attended a Vibe Vessel event at Vulcan Gas Company on March 1st. Vibe Vessel is a freshly minted project that aims to bring top electronic sounds to Austin while providing a completely immersive experience. Their events feature artists, performers, production and an interactive lounge with curated adventures. They describe it as a safe space for individuals to come together and appreciate one another: “you are free to come who you are, as you are, or whomever you want to be. We’ll bring the vibes.”
I had been to many shows at Vulcan Gas Company before, and Vibe Vessel was able to transform this venue into a new world. They decorated the dance floor and DJ booth that made me feel like I was somewhere else. Walking in, I was instantly greeted by performers with hoops and other flow toys. Brooke Blodgett, Head of Brand and Marketing, led me throughout the venue and introduced me to many members of the Vibe Vessel tribe I felt so welcomed. Every person I met or walked past greeted me with a smile which is very rare to come by events these days.
The energy was slow to start in the room as any show is, but as more and more people came, it started to build just in time for Audiojack’s set. I had never heard of Audiojack before which excited me. I love checking out new artists. They had a three-hour set that took the crowd on a journey. I had been chilling on the second-floor balcony which had a great view of the stage. I ended up making my way to the dance floor to let out some shuffles because of how great their set was.
Overall, my first Vibe Vessel event was filled with great music, awesome people and took me on an adventure. I highly recommend this event to anyone and I am excited to watch this brand grow and become a staple in the Austin music scene. You will catch me at future Vibe Vessel events to come.
