Nocturnal Wonderland is a two-day festival happening this weekend (September 14-15) at Glen Helen Regional Park. It is the longest standing Insomniac festival with the best vibes from what I’ve heard. I’m so sad I couldn’t make it out to Nocturnal Wonderland this year, but definitely will next year. If you’re going this year, I have so much fun and here are 5 artists worth checking out. Aside from big names like Illenium, Flux Pavilion, Gud Vibrations, and Boombox Cartel, these are artists you should definitely find some time in your schedule to check out.
1. ARMNHMR
I’ve been listening to ARMNHMR for quite some time now and have never seen them live. They are all sorts of feels mixed with some heavy stuff. A nice balance of future bass with that influence of melodic dubstep to it as well. Give this mix a listen to get you hyped up.
2. AC Slater
The king of Night Bass is going to bring all the vibes this weekend. Expect this set to be high energy that will get you shuffling the entire time even if you’ve never shuffled a day in your life before.
3. Eli & Fur and Nora En Pure
Whenever you see a female DJ on a lineup, I highly recommend you go. Especially in the case of Eli & Fur and Nora en Pure, their deep house melodic tunes are going to be incredible in the landscape of Nocturnal Wonderland.
4. MK
I saw MK for the first time at Electric Forest this past year and I could’ve been there all night. Yes it’s another house artist, but this set will be so fun. I love MK’s style and how he remixes some of my favorite songs (check out Be Right There – Diplo (MK Remix)).
5. Space Jesus
If you’re trying to expose yourself to some noises your ears have never heard before or if you’re just trying to get straight up weird, go to Space Jesus’ set. This set is not one to miss because of it’s experimental bass sounds.
I hope through this you’ll be able to check out some new artists. I always recommend stepping out of your usual listening styles to expose yourself to some new artists. I hope you have an amazing time this weekend and I hope I’ll be there in 2019!
