Heading out to Goldrush Festival this weekend in Arizona? Not sure who to check out amidst the set time conflicts? Here are some artists you should try and see this weekend. As always you know I love the main headliners (Deadmau5, Illenium & . Louis the Child), I’m just recommending some artists outside of those big names to check out as well. I absolutely love Goldrush for the Western Town venue of Rawhide. I went last year and had an amazing time and I hope you do too! Remember to stay hydrated in that AZ heat and have a blast!
1. CHRIS LAKE
*pretends to be shocked* OF COURSE I’m going to tell you all to go see my mans Chris Lake. He has been having the best 2018 by far. I’ve seen him four times this year and every set has evolved and gotten better and better (which I didn’t think was possible). Expect yourself to be grooving and shuffling the whole time. Thank me later if you go to his set and tell him I say hi.
2. Liquid Stranger
I missed Liquid Stranger at the Do Lab at Coachella 2017 and I’ve regretted it ever since. Still high on my list of artists I haven’t seen, but have been wanting to, Liquid Stranger will have a crazy weird set this weekend that will be a sight to witness for sure.
3. Blossom
A dear friend of mine and the cutest pink-haired DJ, Blossom, is an artist you do not want to miss at Goldrush. With a feature on Night Bass Freshman Vol. 1 and a recent release with Bijou, Blossom is only beginning. Expect this set to be a high energy bass house set. Keep an eye on this one!
4. YOOKiE
Saw Yookie at Decadence 2016 and was pleasantly surprised by how much they throw down. I caught them again at EDC 2018 and they were still just as hype. Their originals and remixes have you headbanging with a nasty bass face the entire time.
5. Matroda
I have been wanting to see Matroda for quite some time so please go check him out for me. Definitely similar vibes to Drezo, Malaa, and Joyryde, his set will be super fun to jam out to.
I hope you have an amazing time in my home state! The Arizona rave scene will always have my heart! Stay hydrated, have a bandana to block out the dirt and dance the weekend away for me 🙂
